Cat spotlight – Sam

Sam is a TNR from my colony of cats who I fed each night, in the alley behind my house in The Grove. He was thought to be just one out of about 40-50 cats that an older gentleman, who lived nearby on Arco, fed but never fixed. According to neighbors, the older man had been feeding stray cats for decades.  Sam was thought to be feral’ish, or more of a stray, longer type of cat, but after TNR, neutering and being vetted, it was clear that he was a very loving and easy-going boy. He lived in one of my outdoor enclosures, never again being allowed to roam freely outdoors, for a few years, before moving inside. He did not need time to adjust to living the life of a spoiled, indoor only housecat, or to living with other cats. He easily got along with everyone from day one. He was very tolerant of Clarisse, my dog.  Sam loves to be pet and loved on, and is a biscuit-making champ. If you put your hand out, he will outstretch his paw and put it  in your hand. He also does this to let you know he wants more loving.   If you are interested, email havenforhomeless@sbcglobal.net
